Waiting for LDoll
It seems that I too seldom post to my livejournal. :( Naughty me.

Here's a photo of Lysimakhos. He's a super naughty boy, but looks so romantic dressed in white. Should I take him to LDoll???

Delf meet at the local Hanami

Today the annual Hanami was held at the local Cherry tree park, unluckily the cherry trees had blossomed a week earlier. The weather was excellent and a lot of people had come to the Hanami - some to perform e.g. parapara, some to show ikebana and most just to enjoy and relax. We had a small doll meet and took photos in the Japanese garden.

Here's a photo of our Delfs. From left Tiffany, Florestan, Mikiko and Pyrope:

The Japanese garden was a wonderful place to take photos, eventhough Florestan gave us quite a scare when he threw himself head first to the ground. I thought that the poor boy had scarred himself badly, but luckily a little TLC helped and he now looks as gorgeous as before his fall.

MNF Els do look like girls, don't they?
I decided to sell some wigs, also this pink Leeke wig, since it didn't look good on my MNF Lishe, Shell. I used Illya, my tan MNF El, for the sales photos and changed my mind. It looks good on him, eventhough he looks rather girly.

Cold Day to Take Photos

River finally got his new wig and doesn't look like the little brother of Xaya's Tobias anymore. I went earlier today to Rastila to take some photos of him. An absolutely horrible weather, its 1st of April and it should be getting warmer...but the winter continues and continues...

New River arrived

I waited nearly 1½ years to get a new mold for River. I had decided to get a MNF Kyle and was really lucky to get one from the DoA market place.

I did a quick face up for him and found his old yellowish glass eyes. The wig came with him. It actually is a lovely wig, but it makes him look very very young, like a jailbait. I already ordered another wig for him, which hopefully will make him look a bit older.

During the 1½ years I had sold his boots - he's now borrowing Starr's boots - and his leather jacket and leather trousers are too big, he used to be a DZ and they are much bigger than MNFs. He desperately needs new clothes.

Anyway, here's a photo of him taken this morning.

And another one with Starr, who has been so patiently waiting for him.

Florestan's New Clothes

Here's Florestan, my tan Delf El, to whom I bought new clothes and a Leeke wig from LDoll festival. Since the poor boy had no shoes I made him a pair of sandals...

Traditional Chinese Outfit

I finally had the time to take better photos of Pyrope's new outfit. Its really heavy and the poor boy needs to be on a dollstand. I still can't understand how lucky I was to get the outfit.

LDoll Festival
I just got back from Lyon, from the LDoll Festival. Happy but really exhausted. I met a lot of wonderful people and really enjoyed the well organised festival.  Did a lot of chatting and fulfilled the 'shop till you drop' -slogan. It was wonderful to see how collecting bjds connect people from different countries and how easy it was to talk to strangers... so easy to start talking by just saying something about their doll.

I also found out that there are others who concentrate on Minifées and Delfs, which aren't mainstream dolls at the moment, since the trend is to have more realistic dolls.

I managed to snatch a lovely Chinese outfit from Leeke at bargain price. Here's the first photo of Pyrope wearing it.

Ldoll Festival

I'm going to the LDoll Festival this October, which is quite exciting since I've never participated any doll festivals. I participated in two of the three contests and both of my entries got preselected.

This is my entry for the Purity photo contest.

My entry for the Just Like The Movies is the  Marie Antoinette -movie. Shell (MNF Lishe) dressed into a dusty pink silk rococo gown made by me with white silk Joyce Nicholson slippers.

Nearly Summer Holiday

It seems that I don't have the time / energy to update this journal very often. But then again I've never been much of a person who continuously writes diary entries - I've tried several times, but always end up forgetting  to write anything.

Its nearly the time of my summer holiday, just six more mornings to wake up early and then I can enjoy summer. No specific plans, except that I'll relax. Maybe I'll do some painting and sewing. I just ordered a HA Garron, since I got him -25% of the price. Now I need to think how I'll paint him, no ideas yet...but once I have him, I'll know what to do. Should get him, Kafka D, Szél and a bunch of minis ready for Vattenshow which is in early August.

I also need to design and sew clothes for my BJDs, I ordered some court shoes from Joyce Nicholson and need to design some rococo clothes to go with the shoes. I bought a pile of silks and cotton prints for the clothing, so I just need to get started.

India
I expected nothing but chaos, poverty and dirt when I travelled to Mumbai and was very surprised that eventhough it was chaotic and there was poverty it was a wonderful experience. One week time to visit Mumbai and do some sightseeing, visit schools and go shopping. I managed to do all, unbelievable!

We had the most wonderful guide who managed to answer all of our complex questions, which varied from marriage to taxation. Taxis were the easiest way to get around in Mumbai, but one has to negotiate the price before getting in. Quite interesting since not all taxi drivers know English, but we managed very well. Walking was also a good way to get around, but we noticed that one has to be very careful when crossing roads. The drivers have no respect for pedestrians. Anyway by the end of the week we had learnt that the best way to cross roads is to join a group of locals.

I was wearing a skirt down to my knees on the first day and felt the men staring my white legs, so I decided to wear skirts down to my ankles. I bought several tunic, trouser and scarf sets and noticed that they were the best choice of clothing in the humid and hot climate. I also had to buy two sarees, a golden embroidered silk saree and a pale pink one decorated with gold. I felt very very feminine when Wasim dressed me in the pink saree, I only wish I'll have a possibility of wearing them.

My four MNF Els

A sunny day today, so took a couple of photos. Why is it always so that one of my gorgeous boys looks absolutely silly/stupid in a group photo? Its not so easy to try to pose them for photos, sometimes it even seems that they have a mind of their own and just don't want to pose.

I'll be a week in India, so no more posting before I return.
